Imaging Solutions, Inc. has helped companies in the manufacturing industry run more efficiently, improve customer service and become more competitive by implementing Enterprise Content Management solutions.

Sales orders are now processed faster, shipped sooner and are more accurate, resulting in faster turnaround and improved revenue and cash flow.  Providing a streamlined ordering and shipment process is a significant competitive advantage.

Kapco/Valtec, formerly Valtec Aircraft Supply, is an aircraft stocking distributor that supports the commercial airlines and independent repair facilities worldwide with a broad range of expendable, replacement sealing and clamp products.  Imaging Solutions was able to create a cutting edge document imaging solution that allows them to meet FAA requirements related to tracking their supply chain and providing part certifications. After their implementation was successfully completed, Gary A. Grinsell, President & CFO of Valtec, told Imaging Solutions, “We put much thought and consideration into our decision before selecting the imaging software and a systems integrator, and are now being rewarded with performance that is meeting our goals.  Your staff has provided us with timely, quality service and we have every confidence it will continue, even as our learning curve accelerates.”

“We consider our relationship with you ongoing, and expect it to grow as the demand for image processing technology spreads to all aspects of our business.  Thank you for your continued professional support.”

In other areas of manufacturing, if you are involved in the food industry, you should be aware of Title III, Section 306 of the Bioterrorism Act of 2002.  In December 2004, the FDA issued their final ruling on a new food bioterrorism regulation about the establishment and maintenance of records.  These records identify the immediate previous source of all food received, as well as the immediate subsequent recipient of all food released.  This applies to domestic persons who manufacture, process, pack, transport, distribute, receive, hold or import food; foreign persons who transport food in the U. S., and persons who place food directly in contact with its finished container.  Since the record retention periods vary depending on the shelf life of the food and the records must be accessible within 24 hours, storing them electronically, in an enterprise content management system is a good solution.
